Sustainable holidays
Naturhotel Waldklause
Sustainable holidays begin where awareness and well-being come together. At the Waldklause, this means doing something good for yourself. In harmony with nature.
Appreciate nature.
Be in harmony.
As a sustainable eco-hotel in Tyrol, the Waldklause was one of the first hotels in Austria to consistently use glue-free solid wood construction. Insulated with Tyrolean sheep's wool and built with local raw materials from regional craft businesses, the building fulfils the quality standards of a low-energy building for tourism businesses.
It’s not just a promise.
Responsibly built.
Thinking for the future.
When staying at the Naturhotel Waldklause, winner of the Austrian and European Ecolabel, the conscious use of natural resources takes centre stage. The entire hotel is supplied with certified electricity from renewable, CO₂-neutral energy sources and heated by the Längenfeld biomass power plant.
Water is also a valuable commodity: consumption data was analysed together with external consultants and targeted savings potential was implemented. A specially developed waste management concept makes the Waldklause a pioneer of sustainable hotel management in the Ötztal.
Today and for future generations.
