The ideal way to see the beautiful landscapes of the Oetz Valley.

There could be no better place for mountain-biking: surrounded by breathtaking mountains and rich forests cyclists can truly enjoy the ride. Längenfeld provides you with a 70 km long, varied system of mountain-bike tracks.

Bikers can choose between different degrees of difficulty: there are flat roads for beginners, demanding tracks for advanced bikers and challenging routes for those with more practice.

In order to the enable our guest to fully profit from the large variety of routs, the Hotel Waldklause lends out mountain-bikes free of charge.

Additionally, you can also join one of our guided mountain-bike tours and afterwards you can return to the Naturhotel and restore your energies in one of our wellness facilities.
 

Through the Oetz Valley with a mountain-bike

Allow yourself to be captured by the charming landscape of the Oetz Valley and the great variety of mountain-bike routes. And don't forget that after a long day's ride the Hotel Waldklause awaits you with welcoming all-round care.

No matter whether you are looking for flat, pleasant passages as an easy start or you prefer demanding rock-climbing tours or even the ultimate challenge of a gravel piste – the large repertory of the Oetz Valley leaves nothing to be desired.

For example, chose the Ötztal Trail, one of many routes the Oetz Valley has to offer. You start off at the main station of the Oetz Valley and ride through Sautens and Oetz until you reach Längenfeld. From there you cycle to Sölden, followed by an extreme climbing tour over the "Geislachalm", ending with a steep descend to Zwieselstein. Finally you reach the slope to Obergurgl that will separate the experienced mountain-bikers from the master practitioners. On total the trail comprises 135.6 km and with elevation gains in the meter range of 2911!

THE mountain-bike highlight of the summer is of course the "Ötztaler bike marathon"

Starting in August the cyclists are faced with a scheduled length of 238 km and battle through a height difference of 5500 metres, making it one of the hardest bike marathons of the Alps. We expect 3500 participants, who's identities are already settled, but last-minute cancellations are of course possible.
