Round and protective, natural and earthy – the tree, the symbol of life, is an archetype in the Natur Spa of the Naturhotel Waldklause and at the same time, a defining element. With great care, we have created a large wellness and spa area of about 1,800 square metres in the tree population of the hotel grounds made out of wood, stone, clay, and glass, which not only blends with the natural surroundings on the outside, but is also in harmony with the inside.
For the most part, indigenous types of wood have been used in building the new wellness and hotel area, which opened in 2011. For example, the round structures of the five treatment rooms are made out of local larch wood. Small gardens on the round rooftops are not only a delight to the eye but invite you to retreat into a small little world of your own. A new fitness room, a large seminar room and a personal movement room, which is used e.g. for yoga and Pilates, create a direct connection to nature with their large glass facades.
The six suites situated in the new tract are an architectural highlight. The special grain of the types of wood used in the construction gives the spacious suites their unique flair. A healthy, relaxing sleep is as good as guaranteed thanks to the calming effect of the wood. While the pool suite at ground level has a small garden and direct access to the heated outdoor pool, guests in the upper storeys can enjoy private balconies, gardens and terraces with a direct view of the beautiful Oetztal mountains.
Logically, our applications and treatments with Alpienne, [Comfort Zone] and Rosel Heim natural cosmetics are in tune with nature and rely on its natural healing powers. In addition, we have developed our own Naturhotel cosmetic range whose products contain amongst other things, apple, rowanberry and chestnut extracts.
